About this Qualification


The AoFAQ Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry is designed for learners who wish to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a close protection operative.

Learners will develop knowledge and skills related to working as a close protection operative (CPO) such as planning and preparing for a close protection operation including risk assessment.  They will also learn about the legislative framework of the industry as well as team roles, personal security, working as a team and interpersonal skills. In unit 3, learner will develop skills in managing and resolving conflict in the context of the role of a close protection operative.
